Our Culinary Training program is an 12-week culinary art course taught by Chef Debbie Clark that takes place in a state-of-the-art kitchens located at 32 Cottage Street in Lockport and 542 6th Street in Niagara Falls. Funded by the John R. Oishei Foundation, students enrolled in the program learn basic culinary skills, food service, and sanitary regulations, and various cooking methods. Throughout the program, students will have an opportunity to work for the YWCA Social Enterprises – The Catering Crew, Lockport and Niagara Falls.
Once students have finished the Culinary Training program, they will receive a Certificate of Completion as well as job placement assistance.

The YWCA of the Niagara Frontier is Accepting Applications for the Community Culinary Training Program
The Community Culinary Training Program offers career and technical training, job readiness training, and job-placement assistance to low-income, hard-to-employ women and men in Niagara County. There is no charge for this program to eligible participants.
Acceptance into the program is based on factors including previous experience in the industry, interest in the culinary arts, a demonstrated need for soft-skill and job training, and the physical ability to complete the program.
The course is a total of 12 weeks.
